In business development brand management, corporate image and initiatives are one of the most important assets. Such assets need to become part of an idea and ideal of the corporate line of business that each company carries in its values, purpose and mission.
Sometimes is confusing and blurry the way to set up a business; but there certain paths that one must understand before doing any business. There must be a logotype, a trademark registered in the US trademark offices and also one must incorporate our business into an LLC, .inc, C Corporation, S Corporation.
As of the logotype; we do not have to do everything; there are services to bid for the design you need for your company and initiative. Once you have a logotype you must register to be able to use it commercially. An this is the same in most countries; in Mexico the trademarks are run by the IMPI and there you can register online your trademark.
The image must be consistent to the company objectives and purpose. For example if you go to several companies in the same industry you will find out that most of them their image is similar, their initiatives and websites. In the hotel and tourism industry the focus is a warm and old fashioned image; to get the sense of comfort; opposed to a tech company with pointy edges, abstract images and modern colors.
Today more and more companies are giving a more weight to corporate image due to the fact that image is the first encounter with a company and also tells you about the detail and values of each company, continuous improvement, exposure, globalization index, customer service and product support; all of that is given by the image of each company.
